据前NBA球员、现任分析师特里斯坦-汤普森透露，鲍尔的经纪人表示，全国所有的医生都说他的膝伤非常“罕见”，而且是“他们此前都从未见过的”。

鲍尔自去年1月15日以来就因膝伤缺阵，至今尚未复出，期间接受了两次膝盖手术。
